Please read these Terms of Use carefully before using the Website. By using the Website or any part of them, you agree that you have read these Terms of Use and that you accept and agree to be bound by them.

All contracts relating to the sale and goods entered into between you as a customer and us (www.woodhomehk.com), shall be exclusively subject to the following disclaimer in the version applicable at the time of contract conclusion. Any conditions that deviate from these shall not be recognised unless we have provided our express written acknowledgement of their validity.

Offer and Contract Confirmation

  • These terms and conditions shall only apply if you are a consumer as defined by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. Consumers as defined by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region are natural persons who enter into a legal transaction for a purpose that is not associated with either their commercial or their self-employed professional activities.
  • When placing an order in our online shop, by clicking ‘Buy’ at the end of the purchase process, you enter into a binding order for the goods in your cart. We shall confirm you the receipt of your order by e-mail as soon as you have submitted it (confirmation of receipt). The confirmation of receipt shall not represent an acceptance of the purchase agreement. The purchase agreement shall only come into existence once we have accepted your online order by e-mailing you a separate order confirmation and payment confirmation within three working days.
  • We shall store the contract text and e-mail you the order details. You can view these previous orders in your online customer account.

Payment Method and Additional Price

  • All prices exclude delivery and installation. The [DELIVERY or INSTALLATION CHARGE] to which your order shall be subject can be found in our Shipping & Installation costs list.
  • The purchase price shall become due for payment in full immediately upon conclusion of the purchase agreement. You can choose between the following payment methods:
    Credit card and Bank Transfer, we currently accept the following cards: Visa or MasterCard.
  • If the payment has not been credited to our bank account within 10 days, the order will be automatically cancelled.

Cancellation Right

  • Most of our items are made to order. In most cases we are unable to cancel an order after the item has begun production. If your item has begun production and cannot be modified while it is production, then we will be unable to cancel or modify the order.

Inspection the goods

  • An onsite inspection would be arranged on the delivery day to make sure no damage or scratches on the return items.
  • The end user must inspect and sign for the items received. At the point of delivery it is your responsibility to check the items. We do our best to check every item before it is delivered, but sometimes things happen because our products are large and get transported together with large products. For large items there may be several people handling the product at a time and we really do our best to make sure your product arrives as safe as possible. In the rare case that your order arrives damaged or defected then we will replace your order free of charge on the condition that you notify us at delivery. Call us right away and document the damage and we will arrange the replacement as soon as possible.
  • We are unable to offer a replacement or exchange after you have signed for your products affirming your items have arrived in satisfactory condition. Therefore, if you have a third party receiving your item(s) (i.e. domestic helper, child, aunt, uncle, friend, girlfriend, boyfriend, mother, father, grandparents, driver, maid, nanny, interior designer, architect, contractor), by purchasing with us you are giving that third party the right to accept the condition of your product. If you are unable to give the third party the rights to accept your goods we can store your products up to 30 days free of charge until you are able to do so. Accidents happen and as a result we are unable to make replacements if damage occurs to your items after they have been delivered and signed for.

Information and Disclaimer on Our Wood Products

  • Wood is a natural product that responds to temperature and humidity variations by expanding and contracting. Sometimes these changes may be noticeable in the physical appearance of the product.
  • Although every care is taken to ensure our products are able to handle temperature and humidity changes, the conditions of your home can affect the wooden products you buy from us. Your items can experience small movements and cracks as it adjusts – this is not a fault, but a natural occurrence within the fibers of a natural product.
  • After the wood is harvested and transformed into our spectacular products, it continues to be a living, breathing material that responds to its environment. Our wood products will naturally change, it is a part of the beauty of your purchase, it is uniquely yours. The wood responds to heat and dryness by gaining natural cracks and curves with high levels of humidity. The color will darken or lighten, and this is all-natural change.
    Like all natural materials, wood has inherent disparities in colour and grain pattern because of variations caused by nature, over which the supplier has no control. 
  • We advise you to keep the product in consistent, stable conditions to minimise the effects of temperature and moisture change in the atmosphere. For example, avoiding placing the product close to a heat source such as a radiator or oven will go a long way to ensuring the longevity of the product.
  • As wood is a natural material, every piece of furniture will appear slightly different in finish either in color or pattern of the wood.  Wood Home cannot warranty colour, grain, or texture of wood.
  • The wood grain, texture, colour and finish can be different from the actual piece. Eco-Series wooden furniture is crafted out of reclaimed Ash wood, each piece is hand crafted in our workshop. We use imported American Ash wood, ensure this solid wooden furniture product is highly durable and will last for many years.   • The wood will beautifully age and a patina will form over time depending on your usage and this is perfectly normal, please use mineral oil once every 3-4 months to make sure your new piece of solid wood will last you a lifetime!
  • Please note that since our wooden products are crafted rather than moulded, each product may not be identical and may have a dimension deviation +/- 1 cm.

Information and Disclaimer on Our Colour and Fabric Finishes

  • Actual colour may vary due to products being made to order. It’s important to note that swatches may look different on a real product than what you see on your computer monitor. This is due to the fact that every computer monitor has a different capability to display colors and that everyone sees these colors differently. 
  • We try to edit our photos to show the products as life-like as possible, but please understand the actual colour may vary slightly from your monitor. 

Information and Disclaimer on our Lamp Products

  • Installation of lamps should be performed by a registered electrician, the WoodHome delivery team is not certified and can not perform any installation. Please note this 3rd party installation charge is not included in our sales price.

Warranty

  • All of our products come with a 12 months manufacturer’s warranty against manufacturing defects. To put you at further ease, our products are manufactured using high-quality materials and are regularly quality assured in person by our team. We have worked with our suppliers for several years as they offer unrivaled quality workmanship. We are confident that our products are durable enough to provide you with comfort and enjoyment for a long time to come.
  • Should you encounter a problem with your purchase within the manufacturer’s warranty period, we will take all necessary actions to ensure your satisfaction.
  • We shall not accept any liability for damage or defects caused by you through the improper use, storage or operation of the goods or their incorrect or negligent handling. You shall not be entitled to claim for the reimbursement of expenses for rectification carried out by yourself unless you have first allowed a reasonable period of time for us to remedy the situation and that period has lapsed to no avail.
  • Besides, Please inspect your order immediately upon delivery and make note of any issues on the delivery order they provide before the courier leaves.

Privacy & Security

  • All your information is used for internal use only. We do not sell or give away your information to anyone. At times we may send you an e-mail notifying you about events but they are really worth it.
